THE
LOBSTER

Thursday 28th July at The Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre

WINNER OF THE JURY PRIZE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2015

An unconventional, wholly original love story that will intrigue, overwhelm and at times possibly confound.

In the dystopian near future and according to the rules of The City, single people are arrested and then transferred to The Hotel.  There they are obliged to find a matching mate in 45 days.  If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into The Woods.  A desperate man (Farrell), escapes from The Hotel to The Woods where The Loners live and falls in love, although it is against their rules.
The Lobster is regarded as one of the most surreal and unconventional movies of our time.
